Stokowski CD Release: October 2004
The Stokowski Society (based in London, England) is releasing on the Cala Records label (catalogue number CACD0539) a CD of a live Carnegie Hall concert from 1958. The concert featured:

• Hovhaness: 'Mysterious Mountain'

• Vaughan Williams: 9th Symphony

• Wallingford Riegger: 'New Dance'

• Paul Creston: 'Toccata'

Stokowski commisioned and premiered Mysterious Mountain in 1955, so it is appropriate that his interpretation of this work is finally available to the public.
